A great movie I remember from my childhood about an old man with great Tai Chi power but having trouble to settle in with his son family in America.It is an early little gem from Ang Lee that is beautiful,warm and touching as he has taken a deep look at the struggle that exists today for many of people as they care for their elderly parents.

Plot / Synopsis:

Master Chu, a retired Chinese Tai-Chi master, moves to Westchester, New York to live with his son Alex, his American daughter-in-law Martha, and their son Jeremy. However, Martha's second novel is suffering from severe writers' block brought on by Chu's presence in the house. Alex must struggle to keep his family together as he battles an inner conflict between cultural tradition and his modern American lifestlye.

Chekeracco!! is very entertaining movie, with enough funny moments to keep us laughing. The movie also extremely colurful and beautiful-set in Okinawa island.Great Ost and songs from Orange Range.

Not all the stories are great, for me the best 3 stories are 1. Tuileries which tell the stories of a tourist that encouter problems with a paranoid couple of lover while waiting for the train in subway (absolubtely hilarious), 2. Places des Fetes:The E.M.T. Sophie gives the emergency attendance to a man stabbed in a square (very sad), 3. Faubourg Saint-Denis: A blind man and an aspirant actress fall in love for each other (Natalie Portman).Can't wait to see New York I Love You next.

Eye candy movie with beautiful landscape, stylish costumes and ninja powers like often seen in anime. Awesome fight scene but the storyline is typical and stereotype but still worth a watch if you don't watch the original anime "Basilisk" yet.


Plot / Synopsis:

After more than four hundred years of war between the Shinobi warriors of the Manjidani Koga and Tsubagakure Iga clans, the Lord Hattori Hanzou decrees that they must live in peace. The best monster movie i've seen so far in term of sheer entertainment.It manages to break the typical monster or horror movies and goes beyond stereotypes and plays out the monster story plot in a totally new and unique way.

Plot / Sypnosis:

The film revolves around Park Hee-bong, a man in his late 60s. Park runs a small snack bar on the banks of the Han River and lives with his two sons, one daughter, and one granddaughter. The Parks seem to lead a quite ordinary and peaceful life, but maybe a bit poorer than the average Seoulite. Hee-bong's elder son Gang-du is an immature and incompetent man in his 40s, whose wife left home long ago. Nam-il is the youngest son, an unemployed grumbler, and daughter Nam-joo is an archery medalist and member of the national team. One day, an unidentified monster suddenly appears from the depths of the Han River and spreads panic and death, and Gang-du's daughter Hyun-seo is carried off by the monster and disappears. All the family members are in a great agony because they lost someone very dear to them. But when they find out she is still alive, they resolve to save her.

Not everyone cup of tea but i think it's a beautiful piece of work that are soothing and calming to enjoy while relaxing and get lost in imigination....
