Synopsis

Choong Dong (Jeong Joon Ho), a traffic officer who aspires to be a homicide detective, is recognized for his straight and honest nature and recruited into a case targeting gang leader Gwang Seop (Kim Sang Joong). Before long, he goes undercover as a member of Gwang Seop’s gang. Meanwhile, Joong Dae (Jeong Woong In) goes undercover in homicide to protect his boss Gwang Seop because he is the only member of the gang who graduated from university. His quick wits put Joong Dae on the Chief’s good side and also close to Se Rin (Han Go Eun) in the secret investigations department. He falls in love with her. Joong Dae tries hard to get in on every important case and win the trust of Captain Park and Chief Chun as he seeks the identity of the undercover in Gwang Seop’s gang.

Synopsis

Kim Yun Woo (Yoo Ji Tae) works as a low level civil servant in a district office. Although he is thirty, he is still quite innocent for his age and has been on numerous unfruitful blind dates in search of a suitable wife. Han Soo Young is a cheerful and eccentric eighteen year old who lives with her mother that acts like a princess.

Rokkazu (Rockers)

Synopsis:

"Freed from the need to be factual, Rockers leaves the audience free to judge it entirely on its merits as a film. With a tried and true rags-to-riches plot containing more than its share of idiosyncrasies, Rockers is a film that will please even the most uninitiated of viewers, its excellent expressive and energetic performances (the band's entire rhythm section consists of actors from the not dissimilarly spirited Kisarazu Cat's Eye TV series, penned by GO, Ping Pong, and Zebraman scribe Kankuro Kudo) making it a rewarding experience even for unsubtitled gaijin viewing (you won't be alone in this either, since most Japanese probably won't catch a good part of the dialogue due to the thick Hakata accents employed throughout). It may not offer any insights into the history of the Japanese punk music scene and even similarities with the band that inspired it are superficial at best, but Rockers transcends that admittedly narrow focus to become a film of much more universal appeal. With his debut film, Takanori Jinnai has delivered, quite simply, one of the year's most pleasant surprises."
